About Us
Meet Dr. Emily Capolongo
A passionate special educator with over 13 years of experience, Dr. Emily has supported countless young people with disabilities and their families. Throughout her years in the school system, she repeatedly saw a crucial missing piece in her students’ education—support around sexual health, consent, safety, and social wellness. Families wanted to help, but didn’t know how. Educators cared deeply, but lacked the tools and language. And youth with disabilities were left without the knowledge they needed to stay safe, confident, and empowered.
Determined to change this, Dr. Emily began developing practical, accessible ways to teach essential concepts like boundaries, healthy relationships, communication skills, puberty, online safety, and body autonomy. She saw firsthand the transformation when young people finally had the information they deserved—greater confidence, more independence, improved emotional safety, and stronger self-advocacy.
Today, Dr. Emily works directly with parents, caregivers, and educators, equipping them with the tools, language, and strategies to confidently teach consent and social wellness at home, at school, and in the community. She believes every young person—regardless of disability—has the right to clear, inclusive, and respectful education about their bodies, relationships, and safety.
Together, we can break down stigmas, empower youth with disabilities, and create environments where they are safe, understood, and supported.
